Branstrator
Farm has been in the Branstrator family since 1821 when Andrew Branstator
(different sp) bought it for $3.00/acre from the heirs of Stephen
Mason who was given 1000 acres of land in Aug. 1790 by an Act To
enable officers and soldiers of the Virginia Line on Continental
Establishment in a document signed by George Washington, Timothy
Pickering, Secretary of State and James McHenry, Secretary of War.

(6/9/1782-6/20/1848, his wife Frances and many of their children were
buried in the family graveyard on the highest land on my farm. |
